The Myers Park Mustangs crushed the host Hoggard Vikings baseball team by a tally of 13-3 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs now hold a 17-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harding University for a non-league bout on Monday, May 1. Myers Park will face a Rams team coming off a 12-0 league loss to South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Rams record now stands at 1-14.

Next, the Vikings face the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A bout, on Tuesday, May 2. Hoggard will attempt to advance on its 14-7 season record. The Buccaneers enter the bout with a 6-13 record after their 4-3 league win over South Brunswick (Southport, NC).
