Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) and the host Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC), saw Central Cabarrus's soccer squad hold off Northwest Cabarrus by a count of 2-1.

The Vikings (13-3) will now prepare for their battle against Carson (China Grove, NC). The Cougars enter the South Piedmont 3A battle with a 10-9 record. In their last battle, Carson was edged by Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC), 9-0, in a league battle.
