The Kankakee Kays softball team scored 24 runs and held the host Bloom Blazing Trojan to 17 in the Kays league win on Thursday.

The Kays now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bishop McNamara for a non-league battle on Friday, May 1. Kankakee will confront a Fightin' Irish team coming off a 11-3 league win over Chicago Christian (Palos Heights, IL). The Fightin' Irish record now stands at 11-4.

With the loss, Bloom moves to 9-14 on the season. The Blazing trojan host Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus (Chicago, IL) to confront the Ravens in a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 5. The Ravens come into the battle with a record of 1-3.
