The Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans (Indianapolis, IN) volleyball overcame the visiting Covenant Christian Warriors (Indianapolis, IN), 3-0 in Thursday's league outing.
With the win, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard upgrades its record to 6-0 on the year. The Trojans travel to North Central (Indianapolis, IN) to face the Panthers in a IBVCA outing on Wednesday, April 14. The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 10-5. North Central lost 2-1 in their recent league outing against Perry Meridian (Indianapolis, IN)
The Warriors now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Columbus North for a IBVCA outing on Monday, April 12. Covenant Christian will face a Bull Dogs squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Perry Meridian (Indianapolis, IN). The Bull Dogs record now stands at 1-3.
Bishop Chatard Boys Volleyball opened its conference season with a sweep of the Covenant Christian Warriors. Strong serving and passing in the first set led to a quick 25-8 victory for the Trojans.
The second set began much like the first set ended, with Bishop Chatard taking early leads of 6-1, then 12-3 before the Warriors battled back, still trailing at 11-16. Trojan serving proved to be too much for Covenant Christian, and Bishop Chatard closed out the set, 25-14.
Covenant Christian toughened up even more in the third set, remaining even or slightly ahead of the Trojans at 11-10. Bishop Chatard then ran off a string of scores to lead 23-12 before closing the match at 25-13.
