The DeLaSalle Islanders softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Richfield Spartans to 6 in the Islanders non-league win on Thursday.

The Islanders now possess a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Orono for a non-league battle on Monday, May 5. DeLaSalle will confront a Spartans team coming off a 14-4 league loss to Waconia (Waconia, MN). The Spartans record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Richfield moves to 2-5 on the season. The Spartans host Wayzata (Plymouth, MN) to confront the Trojans in a non-league battle on Saturday, May 3. The Trojans come into the battle with a record of 5-4. Wayzata won 8-4 in their recent league battle against Hopkins (Minnetonka, MN)
