West Virginia High School Softball - River gets by Tyler

May 1, 2026: Sistersville, WV 26175

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting River Pilots softball team scored a tight 10-9 victory over the Tyler Knights.

The Pilots (16-5) will now prepare for their match against Caldwell (Caldwell, OH). The Redskins go into the non-league match with a 14-3 record. In their last match, Caldwell tipped Shadyside (Shadyside, OH), 8-6, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Valley Lumberjacks (Pine Grove, WV) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, May 5. Tyler will attempt to better on its 8-17 season record. The Lumberjacks go into the match with a 7-17 record after their 20-5 non-league loss to Frontier (New Matamoras, OH).
