May 13, 2021: Independence, OH 44131 The Independence Blue Devils softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Chippewa Chipps to 2 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Independence improves its record to 14-3 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Cuyahoga Heights (Cleveland, OH) to clash with the Redskins in a Chagrin Valley - Metro game on Friday, May 14. The Redskins come into the game with a record of 15-2.
In their next game, the Chipps clash with the Smithville Smithies (Smithville, OH) in a Wayne County game, on Monday, May 17. Chippewa will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Smithies come into the game with a 6-15 record after their 14-0 league loss to Hillsdale (Jeromesville, OH).
