The Newtown Nighthawks volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Bunnell Bulldogs to 0 in the Nighthawks league triumph on Wednesday.

The Nighthawks now have a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to Woodstock Academy for a non-league outing on Saturday, May 17. Newtown will play a Centaurs team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Norwich RVT (Norwich, CT). The Centaurs record now stands at 12-5.

With the loss, Bunnell drops to 4-10 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Pomperaug (Southbury, CT) to play the Panthers in a South-West outing on Friday, May 16. The Panthers come into the outing with a record of 11-5. Pomperaug won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Brookfield (Brookfield, CT)
