In Friday's non-league game, the host Washburn Rural Blues baseball team scored a nice 10-1 win over the Lawrence Lions.

The Blues (9-5) will now prepare for their game against Shawnee Heights (Tecumseh, KS). The Thunderbirds go into the Centennial game with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, Shawnee Heights was overwhelmed by Mill Valley (Shawnee, KS), 6-4, in a non-league contest.
