The Wheeler Bearcats softball team scored 16 runs and held the host River Forest Ingots to 1 in the Bearcats league win on Wednesday.

The Bearcats now possess a 15-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Glenn for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 21. Wheeler will confront a Falcons team coming off a 22-0 non-league win over Culver Academies (Culver, IN). The Falcons record now stands at 18-8.

With the loss, River Forest moves to 6-12 on the season. The Ingots travel to Merrillville (Merrillville, IN) to confront the Pirates in a non-league battle on Thursday, May 21. The Pirates come into the battle with a record of 5-16. Merrillville lost 20-1 in their recent league battle against Chesterton (Chesterton, IN)
