Live Oak Acorns (Morgan Hill, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Evergreen Valley Cougars (San Jose, CA), 80-62 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Live Oak upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Acorns travel to Oak Grove (San Jose, CA) to play the Eagles in a Blossom Valley - Santa Teresa East bout on Wednesday, May 26. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-3. Oak Grove lost 58-48 in their recent league bout against Ann Sobrato (Morgan Hill, CA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Piedmont Hills Pirates (San Jose, CA) in a Blossom Valley - Mt. Hamilton bout, on Wednesday, May 26. Evergreen Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record.
