The New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN) baseball trounced the visiting Portage Indians (Portage, IN), 12-1 in Saturday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Glenn Falcons (Walkerton, IN) in a Northern Indiana contest, on Monday, May 9. New Prairie will attempt to better on its 11-7 season record. The Falcons enter the contest with a 16-1 record after their 23-5 non-league win over Central Noble (Albion, IN).

The Indians now sport a 8-10 record. They take the field next when they host Morgan Township for a non-league contest on Monday, May 9. Portage will play a Cherokees squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Westville (Westville, IN). The Cherokees record now stands at 11-5.
