May 9, 2026: Plainfield, IL 60544 The Plainfield South Cougars baseball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Morris Warriors to 2 in the Cougars non-league win on Saturday.
The Cougars now own a 8-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Joliet Central for a Southwest Prairie test on Monday, May 11. Plainfield South will clash with a Steelmen team coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL). The Steelmen record now stands at 9-19.
With the defeat, Morris drops to 11-15 on the year. The Warriors host Sycamore (Sycamore, IL) to clash with the Spartans in a Interstate Eight test on Monday, May 11. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 10-12. Sycamore lost 16-1 in their recent non-league test against Crystal Lake Central (Crystal Lake, IL)
