Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), 15-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now sport a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they host Albuquerque Academy for a 4A District 6 challenge on Friday, June 4. Valley will face a Chargers squad coming off a 13-7 league loss to Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM). The Chargers record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Highland falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM) to face the Sartans in a 4A District 5 challenge on Saturday, June 5. The Sartans enter the challenge with a record of 13-3. St. Pius X won 17-2 in their recent league challenge against Grants (Grants, NM)
