Colorado High School Baseball - Mountain View loses to Northridge
June 4, 2021: Loveland, CO 80537 The Northridge Grizzlies baseball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Mountain View Mountain Lions to 9 in the Grizzlies non-league victory on Friday.
The Grizzlies (7-5) will now prepare for their match against Greeley Central (Greeley, CO). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 0-12 record. In their last match, Greeley Central was overwhelmed by Severance (Severance, CO), 12-7, in a non-league match.
The Mountain Lions (5-8) will now prepare for their match against Erie (Erie, CO). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 8-4 record. In their last match, Erie ran past Berthoud (Berthoud, CO), 11-7, in a non-league match.
Game Summary
Northridge finishes the suspended game with Mtn View from Thursday May 27th and defeats the Mountain Lions by the score of 17-9. Mark Felix-llamas gets the win on the mound in relief of Nick Garland as he pitches 3 2/3 innings giving up 5 hits no earned runs with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts. The Grizzlies get 16 hits in the game and are lead by Gannon McGeen who was 5 for 6 with a double and a triple and 2 RBI's. Justus Alcala was 3 for 5 with 2 RBI's and a double and Brendan Peterson was 3 for 5 with a double. The Grizzlies return to action Saturday (June 5) as they travel across town to face Greeley Central with first pitch at 11:00am at Butch Butler.
