Georgia High School Softball - Lanier County sneaks past Tift County
August 12, 2024: Lakeland, GA 31635 The Lanier County Bulldogs (Lakeland, GA) softball nipped the visiting Tift County Blue Devils (Tifton, GA), 2-1 in Monday's non-league outing.
The Bulldogs now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brooks County for a 1A D-II Region 2 outing on Tuesday, August 13. Lanier County will encounter a Trojans team coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Brookwood (Thomasville, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 0-3.
With the loss, Tift County moves to 2-2 on the season. The Blue devils travel to Crisp County (Cordele, GA) to encounter the Cougars in a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 13. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Crisp County lost 7-1 in their recent non-league outing against Worth County (Sylvester, GA)
