In Friday's non-league game, the Saucon Valley Panthers (Hellertown, PA) football team overcame the visiting Bangor Slaters (Bangor, PA), by a tally of 42-21.

Next, the Panthers clash with the Palisades Pirates (Kintnersville, PA) in a Colonial-Schuylkill - B outing, on Friday, August 29. Saucon Valley will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Pirates come into the outing with a 1-0 record after their 21-15 non-league win over Bristol (Bristol, PA).

With the defeat, Bangor drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Slaters host Lehighton (Lehighton, PA) to clash with the Indians in a Colonial-Schuylkill - A outing on Thursday, August 28.
