In Friday's non-league game, the Panther Creek Catamounts (Cary, NC) football team were victorious over the host Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC), by a tally of 16-7.

In their next game, the Catamounts face the Hillside Hornets (Durham, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, August 29. Panther Creek will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Hornets enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 22-0 non-league win over E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC).

The Golden Hawks (0-1) will now prepare for their outing against Wakefield (Raleigh, NC). The Wolverines come into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Wakefield was knocked off by Heritage (Wake Forest, NC), 29-20, in a non-league outing.
