Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns (Vista, CA), 37-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Otay Ranch advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mustangs host Point Loma (San Diego, CA) to confront the Pointers in a non-league match on Friday, August 29. The Pointers come into the match with a record of 1-0. Point Loma won 42-24 in their recent non-league match against Del Norte (San Diego, CA)

Coming up next, the Longhorns confront the Sweetwater Red Devils (National City, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 29. Rancho Buena Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Red Devils go into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 31-0 non-league win over Morse (San Diego, CA).
