Woodrow Wilson Bruins (Long Beach, CA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Portola Bulldogs (Irvine, CA), 35-0 in a non-league match.

The Bruins (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Marina (Huntington Beach, CA). The Vikings come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Marina routed Foothill (Santa Ana, CA), 13-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs confront the Irvine Vaqueros (Irvine, CA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, August 29. Portola will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Vaqueros go into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 34-14 non-league win over Northwood (Irvine, CA).
