Georgia High School Softball - Effingham County holds off Toombs County
August 23, 2021: Lyons, GA 30436 The Effingham County Rebels the host Toombs County Bulldogs softball squad by a final score of 7-5 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Rebels (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Pinewood Christian (Bellville, GA). The Patriots go into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Pinewood Christian by Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA), 7-3, in a non-league battle.
The Bulldogs now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Bacon County for a AA Region 2 battle on Tuesday, August 24. Toombs County will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to Ware County (Waycross, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 4-2.
