Kankakee Valley Kougars (Wheatfield, IN) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Rensselaer Central Bombers (Rensselaer, IN), 23-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Kankakee Valley advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Kougars travel to Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN) to play the Bearcats in a non-league battle on Friday, August 30. The Bearcats go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Wheeler lost 41-21 in their recent non-league battle against Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN)

The Bombers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host North Newton for a non-league battle on Friday, August 30. Rensselaer Central will play a Spartans team coming off a 63-0 non-league loss to Whiting (Whiting, IN). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.
