The Malvern Hornets were victorious over the visiting Valley Christian Eagles football team by a score of 36-16 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets face the Conotton Valley Rockets (Bowerston, OH) in a Inter-Valley - North challenge, on Friday, August 30. Malvern will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Rockets enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 39-6 non-league win over Tuscarawas Central Catholic (New Philadelphia, OH).

The Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Aquinas (Louisville, OH). The Knights enter the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Aquinas lost by Memorial (Campbell, OH), 48-0, in a non-league challenge.
