With the triumph, Miami upgrades its record to 5-0 on the year. The Wardogs host Hilldale (Muskogee, OK) to play the Hornets in a non-league game on Monday, August 26. The Hornets enter the game with a record of 3-1. Hilldale won 11-0 in their recent league game against Stilwell (Stilwell, OK)
The Comets now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they host Verdigris for a 3A game on Saturday, August 24. Kansas will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 20-0 non-league win over Inola (Inola, OK). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-0.
