Mississippi High School Volleyball - Newton County over Union

In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Newton County Cougars volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Union Yellowjackets.

The Cougars (13-2) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Andrew's Episcopal (Ridgeland, MS). The Saints come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, St. Andrew's Episcopal achieved victory over Pearl (Pearl, MS), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Yellowjackets now own a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pisgah for a Class 3A Region 5 test on Tuesday, September 2.
