New Mexico High School Football - Zuni felled by Cuba
August 27, 2021: Cuba, NM 87013 The Zuni Thunderbirds football team (Zuni, NM), was knocked off 33-12 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Cuba Rams (Cuba, NM)
The Rams (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM). The Elks/Elkettes come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Pojoaque Valley knocked off Santa Fe Indian (Santa Fe, NM), 64-12, in a non-league challenge.
The Thunderbirds now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crownpoint for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 3. Zuni will meet a Eagles team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Shiprock (Shiprock, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
