August 27, 2025: Spring Lake, MI 49456 Spring Lake Lakers (Spring Lake, MI) fans went home in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Fruitport Trojans (Fruitport, MI), 42-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Spring Lake improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lakers host Gladwin (Gladwin, MI) to play the Flying G's in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Flying G's go into the battle with a record of 0-0.
The Trojans now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Big Rapids for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 4. Fruitport will play a Cardinals team coming off a 42-20 non-league win over Paw Paw (Paw Paw, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-0.
