North Carolina High School Volleyball - East Gaston over South Point

August 27, 2025: Mt. Holly, NC 28120

Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) and the visiting South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC), saw East Gaston's volleyball squad achieve victory over South Point by a score of 3-0.

With the win, East Gaston improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Warriors travel to Shelby (Shelby, NC) to encounter the Golden Lions in a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A test on Tuesday, September 2. The Golden Lions go into the test with a record of 0-4. Shelby lost 3-0 in their recent league test against West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC)

Next, the Red Raiders meet the Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) in a Big South 5A/6A challenge, on Thursday, August 28. South Point will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Greenwave enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Berry (Charlotte, NC).
