Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Round Valley Elks (Eagar, AZ) and the host Florence Gophers (Florence, AZ), saw Round Valley's football team gain a win over Florence by a final score of 39-14.

With the win, Round Valley advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Elks travel to Pima (Pima, AZ) to encounter the Roughriders in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Roughriders go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Pima won 42-0 in their recent non-league battle against Tuba City (Tuba City, AZ)

The Gophers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to ALA - Ironwood for a non-league match on Friday, September 5. Florence will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 41-14 non-league loss to Pusch Ridge Christian Academy (Tucson, AZ). The Warriors record now stands at 0-2.
