In Thursday's non-league game, the Howell Rebels (Farmingdale, NJ) football team were victorious over the host Lacey Township Lions (Lanoka Harbor, NJ), by a tally of 21-0.

In their next game, the Rebels face the Middletown North Lions (Middletown, NJ) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 5. Howell will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record.

With the defeat, Lacey Township drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Central Regional (Bayville, NJ) to clash with the Golden Eagles in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 6.
