Lewis Lancers (Springfield, VA) boosters were happy Thursday as they witnessed their football squad topple the host Park View Patriots (Sterling, VA), 20-6 in a non-league match.

The Lancers (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Wakefield (Arlington, VA). The Warriors enter the non-league match with a 0-1 record.

The Patriots now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. Park View will play a Colonials team coming off a 28-21 non-league loss to Northern Virginia HomeSchool (Manassas, VA). The Colonials record now stands at 0-1.
