August 28, 2025: El Dorado, CA 95623 Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Union Mine Diamondbacks (El Dorado, CA), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Ponderosa advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bruins travel to Christian Brothers (Sacramento, CA) to confront the Falcons in a game on Monday, September 22. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 2-1.
The Diamondbacks (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Dixon (Dixon, CA). The Rams go into the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Dixon was dropped by Pioneer (Woodland, CA), 2-0, in a non-league outing.
