The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Thomson Bulldogs (Thomson, GA) and the visiting Academy of Richmond County Musketeers (Augusta, GA), witnessed Thomson's football squad knock off Academy of Richmond County by a tally of 50-42.

The Bulldogs (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Grovetown (Grovetown, GA). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Grovetown gained a win over Evans (Evans, GA), 42-7, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Musketeers confront the Westside Patriots (Augusta, GA) in a AAA Region 4 contest, on Friday, September 5. Academy of Richmond County will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 74-0 non-league win over Glenn Hills (Augusta, GA).
