Alabama High School Football - Bessemer City tops Woodlawn

August 29, 2025: Bessemer, AL 35022

The Bessemer City Tigers football squad scored 41 points and limited the visiting Woodlawn Colonels to 14 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brookwood for a 6A Region 4 test on Friday, September 5. Bessemer City will face a Panthers team coming off a 14-0 non-league win over West Blocton (West Blocton, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 1-1.

The Colonels (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Minor (Adamsville, AL). The Tigers go into the 6A Region 5 challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Minor toppled Paul W. Bryant (Cottondale, AL), 27-3, in a non-league challenge.
