Florida High School Football - Wewahitchka defeated by Branford

August 29, 2025: Branford, FL 32008

The Branford Buccaneers were victorious over the visiting Wewahitchka Gators football team by a score of 33-7 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Buccaneers face the Bell Bulldogs (Bell, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 5. Branford will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 35-14 non-league loss to Franklin County (Eastpoint, FL).

With the defeat, Wewahitchka drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Vernon (Vernon, FL) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a non-league outing on Friday, September 5. The Yellowjackets come into the outing with a record of 0-2. Vernon lost 45-0 in their recent non-league outing against Liberty County (Bristol, FL)
