The Camp Verde Cowboys football squad scored 49 points and limited the host Desert Star to 12 in the Cowboys non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cowboys now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Tonopah Valley for a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. Camp Verde will meet a Phoenix squad coming off a 44-0 non-league loss to Scottsdale Christian Academy (Phoenix, AZ). The Phoenix record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, Desert Star drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The travel to Chino Valley (Chino Valley, AZ) to meet the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5.
