The St. Thomas Academy Cadets were winner over the host Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders football squad by a margin of 27-14 in Friday's league test.

The Cadets now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mayo for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. St. Thomas Academy will face a Spartans team coming off a 19-16 non-league loss to Chaska (Chaska, MN). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.

The Raiders (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Paul Central (St. Paul, MN). The Minutemen enter the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, St. Paul Central fell by Kasson-Mantorville (Kasson, MN), 37-0, in a non-league challenge.
