The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Valley Union Blue Devils (Elfrida, AZ) and the host Desert Heights Prep Yote (Glendale, AZ), saw Valley Union's football team gain a win over Desert Heights Prep by a final score of 36-16.

With the win, Valley Union advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Blue Devils host Duncan (Duncan, AZ) to encounter the Wildkats in a 1A South (8 Man) bout on Friday, September 5. The Wildkats go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Duncan won 70-28 in their recent league bout against Fort Thomas (Fort Thomas, AZ)

The Yote now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Cicero Prep Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. Desert Heights Prep will play a Centurions team coming off a 62-0 non-league loss to Mogollon (Heber, AZ). The Centurions record now stands at 1-1.
