Iowa High School Football - North Union smashes Newell-Fonda
August 29, 2025: Armstrong, IA 50514 The North Union Warriors (Armstrong, IA) football trounced the visiting Newell-Fonda Mustangs (Newell, IA), 69-20 in Friday's non-league outing.
The Warriors now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Iowa for a 8-Man District 2 (8 Man) outing on Friday, September 5. North Union will battle a Bison team coming off a 29-24 non-league loss to Harris-Lake Park (Lake Park, IA). The Bison record now stands at 0-1.
The Mustangs (0-1) will now prepare for their game against St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA). The Gaels enter the 8-Man District 1 (8 Man) game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, St. Edmond was trounced by Glidden-Ralston (Glidden, IA), 22-20, in a non-league bout.
