Texas High School Football - Weslaco East thwarted by Sharyland

Sharyland Rattlers (Mission, TX) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Weslaco East Wildcats (Weslaco, TX), 45-28 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Sharyland advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Rattlers travel to Hanna (Brownsville, TX) to meet the Golden Eagles in a non-league match on Thursday, September 4. The Golden Eagles come into the match with a record of 0-1. Hanna lost 37-14 in their recent non-league battle against McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX)

The Wildcats now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Mission for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 4. Weslaco East will play a Eagles team coming off a 28-0 non-league loss to Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
