In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Tompkins Falcons volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the College Station Cougars.

The Falcons (19-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Torrey Pines tipped Rockwall (Rockwall, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cedar Park for a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. College Station will face a Timberwolves squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Midway (Waco, TX). The Timberwolves record now stands at 16-7.
