The Southside Cardinals volleyball squad (San Antonio, TX), was defeated 2-0 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Rudder Rangers (Bryan, TX)

With the win, Rudder improves its record to 12-16 on the season. The Rangers travel to South San Antonio (San Antonio, TX) to meet the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 30. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 9-10. South San Antonio lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Del Valle (El Paso, TX)

Next, the Cardinals meet the Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 28 challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Southside will attempt to upgrade on its 2-18 season record. The Dragons enter the challenge with a 12-13 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Carroll (Corpus Christi, TX).
