August 31, 2024: Algona, IA 50511 Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons (Parkersburg, IA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA), 2-0 in a league test.
With the win, Aplington-Parkersburg improves its record to 5-0 on the season. The Falcons travel to St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA) to face the Gaels in a test on Saturday, August 31. The Gaels go into the test with a record of 0-0.
The Golden Bears now own a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Mills for a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. Bishop Garrigan will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-0.
