The Cox Mill Chargers football team (Concord, NC), was ripped 48-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC)

The Huskies (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC). The Vikings come into the 3A/4A West Conference 60 challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, North Mecklenburg trounced Berry (Charlotte, NC), 30-22, in a non-league challenge.

The Chargers now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mooresville for a 4A West Conference 57 challenge on Friday, September 17. Cox Mill will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 51-34 non-league loss to Davie (Mocksville, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-2.
