Texas High School Football - Kingwood defeats Stratford

Kingwood Mustangs (Kingwood, TX) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Stratford Spartans (Houston, TX), 34-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Kingwood advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Goose Creek Memorial (Baytown, TX) to encounter the Patriots in a 6A Region III District 23 battle on Saturday, September 27. The Patriots go into the battle with a record of 3-0. Goose Creek Memorial won 68-7 in their recent non-league battle against Clear Brook (Friendswood, TX)

The Spartans now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Cypress Creek for a 6A Region III District 17 match on Thursday, September 25. Stratford will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 42-10 non-league loss to Cypress Woods (Cypress, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 0-3.
