Texas High School Football - Lovejoy smashes Liberty

The Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) football trounced the host Liberty Redhawks (Frisco, TX), 63-19 in Thursday's league outing.

The Leopards now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Anna for a 5A-2 Region I District 4 outing on Friday, September 19. Lovejoy will clash with a Coyotes squad coming off a 18-9 non-league win over Highland (Gilbert, AZ). The Coyotes record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Liberty falls to 0-3 on the year. The Redhawks travel to Melissa (Melissa, TX) to battle the Cardinals in a 5A-2 Region I District 4 contest on Friday, September 19. The Cardinals enter the contest with a record of 1-1. Melissa won 69-0 in their recent league contest against Memorial (Frisco, TX)
