Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their flag football team achieve victory over the host Chugiak Mustangs (Chugiak, AK), 15-7 in a league battle.

With the win, Bettye Davis East Anchorage improves its record to 1-7 on the season. The Thunderbirds host West Anchorage (Anchorage, AK) to meet the Eagles in a Cook Inlet test on Saturday, September 13. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 6-4. West Anchorage lost 19-6 in their recent league test against South Anchorage (Anchorage, AK)

With the defeat, Chugiak drops to 2-10 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Service (Anchorage, AK) to meet the Cougars in a Cook Inlet test on Wednesday, September 17.
