A.C. Reynolds Rockets (Asheville, NC) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad thwart the visiting Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), 34-14 in a non-league match.

The Rockets (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots come into the non-league match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Freedom defeated T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC), 20-14, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs confront the Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A/2A match, on Friday, September 26. Murphy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
