In Friday's league match, the host Early County Bobcats football squad scored a good 41-17 triumph over the Miller County Pirates.

The Bobcats (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Terrell County (Dawson, GA). The Greenwave come into the A D2 Region 1 match with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Terrell County prevailed over Jordan (Columbus, GA), 40-8, in a non-league battle.

The Pirates now have a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Appling County for a non-league battle on Friday, September 19. Miller County will play a Pirates team coming off a 46-30 non-league loss to DeLand (DeLand, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 1-3.
