Texas High School Football - Montgomery trounces Elgin

September 12, 2025: Elgin, TX 78621

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Montgomery Bears football squad scored a decisive 48-0 triumph over the Elgin Wildcats.

The Bears (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Dayton (Dayton, TX). The Broncos come into the 5A-2 Region II District 8 match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Dayton routed Porter (Porter, TX), 35-14, in a non-league battle.

The Wildcats now have a 0-3 record. They play next when they host McCallum for a 5A-2 Region III District 11 battle on Friday, September 19. Elgin will play a Knights team coming off a 34-28 non-league win over Pinkston (Dallas, TX). The Knights record now stands at 2-1.
